Logistics

We pare organizing a week of trainings, actions, and events leading up to a series of actions on January 20th. We will begin with a weekend action camp starting January 14th, with actions, teach-ins, and trainings leading up to the 20th. We will have a convergence space during the day where we will offer meals, and will be a good space for anyone coming into DC to congregate, have meetings and plan affinity group actions.

If you would like to help organize logistics please volunteer below.

Housing

We expect thousands of people to converge in DC for anti-inaugural events in mid-January, and we want to be sure we can house as many people as possible. We also want to make these events and spaces accessible to historically marginalized voices and communities. That being said we are prioritizing finding housing and hang out spaces for Black & Brown, trans & queer, and disabled folks. If you’re in DC and are willing to open your home or space to these communities specifically, we’d love to hear from you. Please click here and select housing!

We can provide mass housing on a church floor from January 19th - 21st. Please bring a sleeping bag and anything else you need to be comfortable. We will have community guidelines posted at the space that folks will be expected to follow for everyone’s safety. If you would like to reserve a spot at this space, please sign up below.

Sign Up for mass housing.

We are working on housing from January 13th - 18th as well as additional housing for the 19th-21st. In the meantime, check out this facebook group to arrange your own housing: https://www.facebook.com/groups/218163308617634/

If an option isn’t listed you can check this facebook group:https://www.facebook.com/groups/218163308617634/. If you can provide transportation, please select ‘Transportation’ on this form and let us know where you’re coming from.

Transportation in DC

Depending where in the city you will be based, we can help with shuttling. To learn more about getting around DC, please click here.

We are looking for organizations that can donate SmartTrip passes for low income activists. If you or your organization can help with this please select ‘Transportation’ on this form and let us know!

How else to prepare?

January is often the coldest month of the year in DC. Please bring extra layers with you. We will have a secure space to keep your belongings during the day while you are at actions, trainings, and workshops but it would be a great idea to put labels on your bags ahead of time.

We are working on an interactive Know your rights guide, so please check back here for that!
